The Salisbury club must always remember those who go before us as it is these dedicated people who set the foundation and assisted the Club to grow.
This page is dedicated to those Cycle Speedway people and we leave them in God's Care

The entire family thanks the Salisbury Cycle Speedway Club for their kind words both at the Findon track and in the newspapers. The wearing of arnbands ,the minutes silence and the club flag being flown at halfmast showed how much respect Anthony had earnt in his time at the club. Many thanks.

IN GOD'S CARE
It is with heavy heart I write of the sudden passing of Anthony Daniels, our prayers and thoughts go out the his family and friends at this time of sorrow. Anthony showed great determination on the track to improve his skills, twice winner of the Club's Pat St Clair Dixon Award for the most improved rider, racing in the Jets Racing Team before moving to the LeFevre Dolphins to continue his racing.
Over the years I have written many such words of sorrow and attended many services for Cycle Speedway riders and friends, and still words are not enough. We try to understand the sorrow of the family but we can't , we try to see God's plan but we can't, all we can do is ask Why? but that is not an answer.
In the end the best I can offer myself is this... Throughout our lives we meet and interact with people, these people impact on us and we take parts of these people and keep them with us as we travel life's highway. These pieces we keep are in our hearts not our minds as some may think, for it is these pieces of people we meet that make up us as a whole person, as we travel that highway to old age.
As with all who have gone before him, Anthony will always part of me and in God's care we leave him.

The sudden death of past Salisbury member Jobie Dajka saddens the Club, this very talented bike rider never reached the level that all who knew him believed he could achieve. Our prayers and heart felt condolences go out to his parents Chris and Stan and brother Troy, may our prayers give you strength at this time of sorry.

Sad news from UK ... Andrew Jackson former Stockport, Chesham, Tameside and Wednesfield rider passed away Sun 5/8/07. Australian Cycle Speedway Families who knew Andrew from previous tours in Australia and overseas are sadden the hear the news, our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends through out the world.
Brock Meyer after a tragic accident passed away, Brock fought for his life for two weeks before losing his battle for life, this affected the Club greater than many
members would want to believe. The Meyer Family were part of the Salisbury Cycle Speedway Family and the loss of Brock was very traumatic for all of the Club, this was brought home on the day of Brock's funeral when Brock
did his last 4 laps on the track. Brocky's Star will shine above us always , like he shone on the track.
Sad passing of Jeanie Ross mother and wife to children Darren, Ryan, Lee ,Hailey ,Lenny and husband George suddenly died on Thursday 29th March age 54. Jeanie and George put many hours into the club whilst their children raced. George was a past President of the Salisbury Club and Jeanie Canteen Manageress who worked tirelessly for the Club .Although many current Salisbury members will not know Jeanie and the Ross family, but my family remembers them well and with many other past members mourns the loss. The Salisbury club must always remember those who go before us as it is these dedicated people who set the foundation of our club. The Salisbury Club sends their prayers to George , Darren, Ryan, Lee , Hailey and Lenny at this sad time in their lives.

The Club mourns with the passing away of our dear friend and Patron Milton Anderson (28th October 1936 - 30th March 2006), Milton was more than a Patron he was past President, Vice president, Treasurer ,Track Manager, Team Manager and mentor to the Club. He set the foundation for the club to develop and to have direction that was his aim from the first day he joined the Salisbury Club in 1987 until he passed away, he will be missed by the Cycle Speedway Family at the Club and around the world.
